Mark Okoye is a highly accomplished public and private sector leader with over 15 years of experience in Nigeria. He is currently the Managing Director of the Anambra State Investment Promotion & Protection Agency (ANSIPPA), where he leads the State’s investment promotion and private sector engagement efforts. Prior to joining ANSIPPA, Mark served as Commissioner for Economic Planning, Budget, and Development Partnerships for the Anambra State Government. In this role, he led the preparation of the State’s medium-term and annual budgets, achieving and maintaining a budget implementation rate of over 85% for 6 years. Anambra ranked top 5 in the BudgiT fiscal responsibility rankings throughout his tenure. He also coordinated key development partner relationships, which attracted over $100 million annually. Mark played a key role in designing and implementing the State’s economic stimulus package in response to the 2016 recession. Mark is passionate about using his skills and experience to make a positive impact on Nigeria. He is a visionary leader who is committed to driving economic growth and development in the country. He is also committed to building Nigeria’s next generation of leaders, especially in the public sector.
As a passionate, hardworking individual and lawyer by profession, she is driven by the relentless pursuit of making a positive impact, providing practical solutions, and adding value to clients and the organisations she serves in as they seek to overcome their business and legal challenges, in an ever changing and fast paced world. It is with this objective that she aims to provide sustainable solutions to the ever-changing issues that plague my clients, the economy and society. I have a keen interest in analysing how the many facets in a business, and society come together in either making or breaking its progress. She has a keen interest in understanding and developing business strategy so that work can be done better, and she is at her best where she is challenged to apply herself. She has had the privilege of working with the best legal minds both in the country, and globally at Dentons, where was a member of the global ESG practice, Corporate Commercial and Real Estate and Environment and Natural Resources teams. She is also a special elect Honourable Member of County Assembly, at the Nairobi City County Assembly, where I champion sustainability, with a focus on the urban agenda, women, youth and minorities. Finally she also serve as a technical assistant in the taskforce on Re-Engineering & Transformation of Urban Development in Kenya, and she is part of the Global Policy Taskforce at the World Green Building Council.
Dr. Thomas Chataghalala Munthali assumed the position of the first Director General of the Malawi National Planning Commission from March 2019 where he led the development of the country’s youth-centric vision, the Malawi 2063, that has Urbanization as one of the three key pillars with creation of secondary cities as an important integral. Prior to this, he was the Director of Knowledge and Learning at the African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF), a specialized agency of the African Union on capacity development based in Harare, Zimbabwe, where he coordinated capacity development efforts across the African Union member countries aimed at meeting the continent’s socio-economic transformation agenda goals. Prior to joining ACBF, Dr. Munthali was the Malawi Country Director for Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) providing support to Zambia too. As a seasoned Economist with extensive international experience, he has worked with Malawi’s Ministry of Economic Planning where he was part of the team that coordinated the development of the Malawi Economic Growth Strategy; the World Bank where he coordinated research around exchange rates and infrastructure systems as part of the 2009 country economic memorandum; and UNFPA where he provided leadership in strategies for harnessing youth demographic dividend for development. While at ACBF, he coordinated publication of the continental flagships, Africa Capacity Report and the African Financial Governance Outlook (published jointly by ACBF and African Development Bank).
Mr. Wondimu Seta is a State Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Ministry of Urban and Infrastructure. Mr. Wondimu worked for the Ministry as Director General of the Land and Property Registration Agency before he was appointed as a State Minister in May 2022. Mr. Wondimu has two decades of working experience in the construction industry at Federal and Regional Government assignments in Ethiopia, where he was Deputy Chief Executive Officer at one of Ethiopia's biggest public construction enterprises Ethiopian Construction Works Corporation. While working in the SNNPRS Regional Government, Mr. Wondimu served as General Manager of Housing Enterprise. Mr. Wondimu holds a BSc degree in Civil Engineering and an MBA in Project Management.
Mr Maganga is and Engineer in the Department of Roads under the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructural Development, (MOTID) in Zimbabwe. He was appointed Provincial Road Engineer for Manicaland in 2021. Manicaland is one of the Ten (10) Provinces in Zimbabwe. He has also worked in two Provinces, which are Mashonaland east and Mashonaland central from 2012 to 2021 He joined the (MOTID) in 2012 and now has 13yrs of experience. Over these years, he has managed to contribute immensely in road infrastructure development in Zimbabwe. He is a holder of a bachelor Honours Degree in Civil Engineering., attained in 2011 at the University of Zimbabwe. Also a holder of a Post Graduate Diploma in Project Management, attained in 2016 at the Project Management Institute of Zimbabwe. Mr Maganga is a corporate member of the Zimbabwe Institute of Engineers, (ZIE), Engineering Council of Zimbabwe, (ECZ) and an affiliate member of South African Institute of Civil Engineering, (SAICE).
Prof. Attlee Munyaradzi Gamundani - Associate Professor, Faculty of Computing and Informatics at the Namibia University of Science and Technology Prof. Attlee Munyaradzi Gamundani stands at the forefront of cybersecurity and information technology development. He is distinguished as an Associate Professor at the Namibia University of Science and Technology. His specialization within the Faculty of Computing and Informatics, primarily in Cybersecurity, extends into his profound interest in applying smart technologies for sustainable development. An active member and Namibia representative of the Responsible AI Network-Africa (RAIN-Africa), Prof. Gamundani also contributes as an Advisory Board Member for the Pan African Information Communication Technology Association (PAICTA). His expertise is further recognised through his elevation to Senior Member IEEE (SMIEEE) status and Check Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA) certification. Prof. Gamundani’s research covers Information Security, IoT Security, Cloud Computing Security, ICT4D, and Data Security. His works have been published in International Journals and Conference proceedings. He is also a celebrated keynote speaker, author of ICT textbooks for Namibian education, and recipient of multiple awards for his contributions to teaching, presentation, and research excellence. His commitment to community engagement shines through his co-founding and leadership of the Namibia National Cyber Security Competition (NNCSC) and his involvement in international cybersecurity competitions.
Mr. Jose has made significant contributions to various industries and worked with renowned organizations throughout his career. Notably, he served as a management consultant at McKinsey&Company, where his strategic insights and expertise were highly valued. He also held key positions in some of Spain's largest international construction and real estate groups, including Ferrovial, FCC, and Metrovacesa, showcasing his prowess in the realm of construction and development. With over two decades of experience managing consulting projects on an international scale, Jose has garnered extensive expertise in analyzing complex situations and solving challenging problems for his clients. His approach centers around proposing practical and implementable solutions that drive tangible results for his clients. Throughout his career, he has been involved in consulting assignments for both public and private clients, and his work has taken him to more than 20 different countries, giving him a truly global perspective. Jose's reputation as a Project Director and Team Leader in over 30 projects for multilateral institutions is a testament to his leadership and managerial capabilities. These projects were conducted in collaboration with esteemed organizations such as the World Bank, African Development Bank, Islamic Development Bank, and the International Finance Corporation, solidifying his expertise in dealing with high-stake and impactful initiatives.
Gareth Morgan is the Executive Director of the Future Planning and Resilience Directorate at the City of Cape Town, a position he has held since July 2022. He leads a range of teams including Organisational Effectiveness and Innovation, Policy and Strategy, Communications, Performance Management, Resilience and Corporate Project, Programme and Portfolio Management. He was previously the Director of Resilience where he performed strategic roles in both the Day Zero drought response and more recently in the pandemic response. Prior to joining the City, Gareth was a Member of Parliament for nine years. During that period, he was a whip of the National Assembly for two years and Parliamentary Counsellor to the Leader of the Opposition for 1 year. His legislative interests included climate change and water. Gareth has a MSc Environmental Change and a MA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford, which he attended as a Rhodes Scholar. He also read for a BCom and Social Science Honours from the University of Natal. He is an Archbishop Tutu Fellow and an Aspen Fellow. He featured twice on the Mail & Guardian’s Top 200 young South Africans list and once on the same publication’s Top Climate Leaders list.
Tony Tiyou is the Founder and CEO of Renewables in Africa, a Clean Energy engineering company and media platform which mission is to Bring (Back) Power to Africa. Tony previously worked for a decade as an engineer and later consultant in several companies in the Automotive and the Renewables Energy where he occupied several key roles. In 2016, Tony launched Renewables in Africa (RiA), a clean energy company whose vision is to turn Africa into a fully electrified continent by 2040 and the mission to Bring (Back) Power into Africa. RiA’s mandate is the raise awareness about Renewable Energy across the continent and the globe by helping clean energy organisations to get more visibility and grow their business. RiA has a footprint in Kenya, Ghana, Nigeria, Mozambique and Benin, and a wider network in other countries and regions. Tony is a regular technical expert making appearances in various Renewables Energy programmes in BBC, Sky News and has also featured in US broadcasting Stations VOA and EmeraldPlanet TV. Tony has also contributed to various prestigious outlets like, LSE Blog, The Exporter or Forbes Afrique. Tony is the author of ‘The Wind Industry Outlook in Africa’, released in November 2017 and has won multiple Awards including African Leadership Impact Investing and being nominated as one of the 50 Top Influential African & Afro-Caribbean Leaders in the UK 2018, 2024 and also TOP 100 most influential, impactful and successful African business leaders, entrepreneurs and professionals in the UK by the African Business Chamber in 2023.
